Emily Osment requests a divorce from her husband Jack Anthony after just five months of marriage.

The Young Sheldon Star presented a divorce on Friday 7 March, with reference to irreconcilable differences, according to people obtained by people. TMZ was the first to report the news.

Osment, who will be 33 on Monday, March 10, and Anthony made the knot on October 12, 2024, after their engagement in June 2023. Osment mentioned their date of divorce as December 7, 2024. The couple that has no children together has a prenup.

“I think with a big decision in your life, whether it is relationships or work or whatever it is, you should plant both feet firmly in that decision,” she said in a statement to people. “In the end it didn’t work.”

At the time of their engagement in June 2023, she shared a sweet Instagram post and said that she was “ironic happy” when she showed her engagement ring – a square diamond next to a circular emerald in gold.

“I didn’t know that life could be so sweet,” wrote the actress in the caption. “I am so proud of the life that we have built together and the people we have become in recent years.”

“This love is so great and so unique of us and I know it can do everything,” she went on. “I am so honored to stand next to you every day. I love you, Jack.” Osment did not formally announced the relationship of the couple via social media, but in October 2021 she shared the first photo of him with her Instagram account, when they attended a Phish concert.

In the run -up to her wedding in May 2024, she spoke exclusively with people about the planning process and said that she “can’t wait to get married.”

Days after the two had tied the knot, she appeared in an interview with Gayle King On CBS morningsAnd confirmed that they and Anthony were married.

Although she did not shared the details, Osment said, “It’s great so far. The past four days have been glorious.”

Since Osment has applied for a divorce, she apparently got photos of her and Anthony from her Instagram profile.
