Nowadays modern cars are designed with countless safety functions. From twisting zones that absorb effects into airbags that kiss residents and safety belts that prevent increases, the modern engineering prioritizing safety. But in the days of classic cars, safety often took a backseat for aesthetics and performance. The lack of safety improvements meant that accidents, even small, often resulted in considerable damage and sometimes serious consequences.

The roads themselves were devoid of the advanced safety barriers that we see today. Imagine a time when a routine drive had an inherent risk. Every journey was a dance between the exciting freedom of the open road and the always present ghost of potential accident.

Our composite collection offers a visual journey to these accidents. The images show a series of accidents – from cars that got a little too intimate with lampposts to those who decided to take an unplanned nap on their roofs. Some photos show the pure brutal power of effects, which emphasize the vulnerability of these vehicles in accidents. However, not everything is downfall and gloom. There are cases where the only victim seems to be the ego of the driver, with bizarre accidents that let viewers both amused and stunned.

What is especially fascinating about this collection is the coloring process. It breathes living in these static memories, making them feel current and immediately. The colors give an emotional depth to the images, making the metal feel tactile, the glass more vulnerable and the overall scene more moving.

As viewers we are transported back in time. The scenes evoke a mixture of awe, sympathy and curiosity. We can’t help it, but we wonder about the stories behind every crash. Was it a carefree mistake, a mechanical error or only at the wrong time in the wrong place?

In conclusion, while the cars from the mid -20th century were unmistakably beautiful, they were also participants in a different era of driving. An era less forgiving of errors and deprived of many protective functions that we naturally consider today. Our video is not only a showcase of accidents, but a tribute to those classic beauties and a reminder of the evolution of road safety.
